From Sep 28 until Oct 2nd, 2026, the 43. Congesss of  the German Sociological Association (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Soziologie ) took place at Johannes Gutenberg University, Mainz . Approximately 2,000 participants exchanged ideas on the central conference theme of “The Futures of Society” in numerous individual events.

Posters, flyers, and our interactive website provided the expert audience with information about our diverse activities and data infrastructures. A small reception attended by Prof. Dr. Olaf Groh-Samberg (Director of RISC, Head of RDC-RISC) and the team of the Research Data Centre team provided an opportunity to exchange ideas with numerous interested parties.
